5 Star Cares provides support to individuals who have developmental disabilities and/or a intellectual disabilities to live a meaningful life in both home and community settings. We do this through a focus on Person- Centered practices.
Treating everyone with respect and dignity is very important for our providers. We promote consumers
to find a balance between desires, staying healthy and safe, while building relationships. We involve
families with support plans to ensure that all goals are person centered. We provide support to adults

Our Services
Group Home Services
We’re a Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) licensed Group Home in Lutz, FL just outside of Tampa. We provide 24-hour specialized care for low functioning/high medical need individuals with the APD waiver and pediatrics. If you’re unfamiliar with the APD waiver here’s a link:
We provide 24-hour nursing care to assist with a variety of medical needs. All of our staff are trained/certified CPR, Med Administration, g/j- tube care, total parenteral nutrition, and ventilator care (just to name a few). We are considered a less restrictive environment, and our staff to patient ratio is 1 to 2 for optimal patient care. Our ownership team are healthcare providers and have years of experience advocating and providing care for patients. At this time our residential group homes provides services to the most medically fragile patients from 5 years old to 90+ with the APD waiver.
